Description
The most iconic and celebrated delicacy from the Alentejano Black Pig is, without a doubt, Presunto. Requiring the longest production cycle — and if we include the animal’s lifespan, no less than 4 to 5 years — each Presunto is a true testament to patience and tradition. Lightly salted in the first months after slaughter, it then matures slowly in curing chambers for a minimum of 2 years. The length of this curing process directly shapes the refinement and depth of flavor that make Presunto an incomparable gourmet experience.
